Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Help at Home’s office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) provides Direct Support Services, such as Companion Care and In-Home and Community Based Services, to those with IDD. We strive to maintain the consumer’s rights, well-being, and quality of life, while promoting dignity and an independent lifestyle.

We take a person-centered approach to the delivery of our services – our plans are developed to fit the needs of each individual. We recognize that each person we assist has talents, skills, interests and needs that are unique to them. We pride ourselves on the relationships we develop with families, friends and those who are being served.

In addition to offering trained Direct Support Professionals to work closely with each individual in the home and/or community setting, we are able to hire friends and family members of the individual to provide services and support to the person as detailed in the person’s Individual Support Plan (ISP). We also provide training and oversight to all staff with a team of dedicated IDD Program Professionals and Specialists. We work closely with each individual’s team as well as all state and county agencies. We monitor each individual’s progress and advocate for changes in service(s) as necessary.
