Help at Home takes full floor in headquarters move to Chicago’s Sullivan Center

Chicago Feb. 10, 2020 — Cushman & Wakefield has represented Help at Home, LLC—a provider of high-quality, person-centered care and support to older adults and people with disabilities—in a new, long-term lease and move of its corporate headquarters office to the historic Sullivan Center. Their 76,313-square-foot lease will occupy the entire fifth floor of the building, located at 1 S. State Street in Chicago’s Loop. The Telos Group represented property owner 601W Cos. in the transaction.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Jonathan Metzl, Jeff Samaras and James Stein brokered the move to the new class A space at The Sullivan Center, the Louis Sullivan-designed property which for years was known as the Carson, Pirie, Scott and Company Building. Jamey Dix and Steve Golz of Telos Group represented 601W Cos.

“Remaining close to home in the East Loop near transportation lines and finding an office property where all employees and company operations could be on one floor were critical elements of the search,” said Metzl. “Sullivan Center’s large floorplates will provide additional operational efficiencies for Help at Home, while maintaining the vintage charm of their previous space.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s project and development services (PDS) team is also assisting with the build-out of the new space and Chicago-based Partners By Design will oversee the office space design and layout to maximize efficiencies. Help at Home will move from their current location, across the street at 1 N. State Street, later in the year.

“Chicago has been home since our founding in 1975, and we are thrilled to be relocating to the historic Sullivan Center in the heart of the city,” said Help at Home CEO Paul Mastrapa. “Bringing our corporate office support team and Chicago care management center together on one floor will help improve efficiency, communication and convenience for our caregivers and new employees.”
