Many families want to care for their loved ones at home — but don’t know where to turn for help. The Structured Family Caregiving program in Georgia allows qualified family members to be compensated as a caregiver for eligible loved ones who need daily support.
In addition to financial assistance, qualified caregivers receive hands-on training and ongoing guidance — all while continuing to care for a loved one in the comfort of their home.

Through Georgia’s Structured Family Caregiving program, Help at Home helps you get care from a family member — someone who truly understands you. We also provide caregivers with training and a Health Coach so they can care for you with confidence. To be eligible, you need to meet these qualifications:
- Be Medicaid-eligible
- Meet the criteria under the EDWP program
- Live in Georgia
- Need help with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, eating, etc.
- Reside in the same home with your caregiver

How to Qualify to Become a Caregiver
The Structured Family Caregiving program in Georgia allows qualified family members to receive financial compensation and expert support to care for loved ones at home. To be eligible, just meet these requirements:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Identify as the primary caregiver
- Be related biologically or through adoption or marriage (e.g., in-laws)
- Not be a spouse or legal guardian
- Have no other employment
